Ambition Will Be The Death Of Me.

Now that I finally know how to sew and pattern, my plan for this semester is to (very slowly) produce a line of spring/summer clothing to be photographed for my nonexistent portfolio.  Number of garments will depend on amount of free time and money for fabric.  The inspiration is Roman holiday, provoked by warm breezes, grassy fields, picnics by the river and my girl crush, Audrey Hepburn.  I bought some fabric a few weeks ago, one is a light, crispy cotton in a very pale robin’s egg blue with a small, somewhat geometric yet not distracting white pattern.  The other is a white fabric which I’m not sure what to call (looks to be somewhere between a lace and an eyelet).  Hoping for some dresses, shorts and maybe a light jacket, once I learn how to set sleeves.

Cash flow is a slow and sputtering trickle, ‘cause you know, college.  We’ll see.

Marinating chicken in homemade teriyaki sauce for kabobs for my man and I tonight.  I hope it tastes as good as it smells.
